Huygenskwartier Voorburg is located alongside the Vliet Canal. In the summer months, the waterside terraces are a popular port of call for lunch, dinner or a drink in the sun.
Annual party on the water: the Vlietdagen
The Vlietdagen (Vliet Days) hit town every September. The action extends beyond the Vliet Canal itself, as a special programme is also organised in the shopping streets.
The Vliet Canal also forms the backdrop for another popular annual event: the arrival of St Nicholas in November.
Water tourism: moor in Huygenskwartier Voorburg!
The Vliet Canal is a popular boating route throughout the sailing season, and many boats pass by Huygenskwartier Voorburg. You are welcome to moor at ‘De Oude Haven’ visitor harbour (near the Kerkbrug) and stay the night.
